Who is eligible?

Grant recipients must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be an independently-owned small business, grocery, corner store, food donation program, or tribal organization.

  • Have 100 or fewer employees with average annual gross receipts of $15M or less.

  • Accept EBT/SNAP/CalFresh benefits.

The HSEF and SBC will coordinate efforts to implement this program in 16 counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Inyo, Lassen, Mariposa, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, Tuolumne, and Yuba. 

If your business is not located in one of these counties, you may still be eligible to participate in this program through a different grantee–please feel free to submit your Interest Form and we will direct you to the correct entity.

What is the timeline for this grant program?

CDFA–F2F plans to open the final RFA for applications on Monday, March 20th. Applications will be due by 5:00 pm (PT) on Tuesday, June 6th, through CDFA's new grant management system, AmpliFund.
